비교 - 초급

1.    원급을 이용한 비교

가)    tall

①     그는 키가 커

l He is tall.

②     그는 톰만큼 키가 커.

l He is as tall as Tom.

Ø Tom is tall.

l He is as tall as Tom is.

③     그는 그녀만큼 키가 커.

l He is tall.

l She is tall.

l He is as tall as she is.

l He is as tall as her.

나)    big

①     The radio was as big as TV set.

다)    부정

①     그는 그녀만큼 키가 크지 않아.

l He is not tall. She is tall.

l He is not as(so) tall as she is.

2.    비교급을 이용한 비교

가)    taller

①     그는 그녀보다 키가 더 커.

l than

l He is taller than she is(her).

l He is not(isn't) taller than she is(her).

나)    bigger

①     The radio was bigger than the TV set.

3.    비교급 + and + 비교급

가)    taller and taller

①     강조

②     He becomes taller and taller.

나)    bigger and bigger

①     The size of the company is getting bigger and bigger.

4.    비교급 강조

가)    훨씬 더 키 큰

①     much taller

나)    훨씬

①    Much, still, far, even, a lot

다)    very

①     비교급 강조 못 한다.

②     원급 강조

③     He is (much / very) taller than she is.

④     He is (very / much) tall.

5.    최상급을 이용한 비교

가)    the 최상급

나)    of + 집합

①     비교 가능

②     Tom is the most handsome (actor) of the male actors in fifties..

다)    in +장소

①     범위

②     Tom is the most handsome (actor) in the U.S.A.

라)    that S + V + have (ever) p.p ~

①     Tom is the most handsome actor that I have ever seen on the movies.

6.    one of the 최상급 + 복수명사

가)    one - 분자

나)    the 최상급 + 복수명사 - 분모

다)    Tom is one of the best actors that I have ever seen.
